Tea Creek

History

Chartered on March 23, 1971, the Penns Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited is located in central Pennsylvania.  The Penns Creek Chapter includes Mifflin, Juniata, and parts of Snyder and Huntingdon Counties.  We are one of the first chapters to be chartered in the state of Pennsylvania. There were six founding members. Today our membership includes approximately one hundred and twenty-five members.   In 1973 this chapter won the Golden Trout Award from TU National. In the same year, Gene Brown, the chapter president, was awarded the Golden Trout Award for personal achievement. It was a very good year for this chapter. We are close to many excellent cold water streams. These streams are a joy to fish and it is our responsibility to help to protect and conserve these resources.

These pages list the chapters accomplishments and highlights from the last 33 years.  The highlights are organized by decade.  Enjoy exploring our past ...we are proud of it!
